Grades
A PASS grade
is awarded to candidates whose performance meets the specified criteria
in all assessed components.
A PASS
B is awarded to candidates whose performance meets all the specified
criteria and whose performance in classroom teaching skills is outstanding.
A PASS
A is awarded to candidates whose performance meets the specified
criteria and whose performance in planning for effective teaching, classroom
teaching skills and awareness of teaching and learning processes is outstanding.
Candidates who
do not fulfil all the requirements of the course or whose performance
does not meet the specified criteria are not awarded a certificate. It
should be noted that PASS is the most commonly awarded grade on CELTA
courses.
